WimAsAService is an innovative online service developed by baseVISION AG. This service allows you to configure WIM (Windows® Imaging Format) files according to your personal requirements. The WIM files are generated in Azure. You can choose if we also convert the files to ISO or VHD. After generating an image, you can download your own custom files directly with your web browser or let them be automatically uploaded to your Azure infrastructure. A detailed documentation for each Image is included. This enables you to compare different Image versions very easy.
Transparency
Microsoft Configuration Manager doesn’t tell you what’s inside your image, making documentation time-consuming – and comparing two image files impossible. WimAsAService offers a solution.
Effort
Building your own MDT infrastructure or creating new Capture Task Sequences in Microsoft Configuration Manager is complicated and time-consuming. Don’t spend your life staying up-to-date on techniques and best practices – let us do it for you.
Reliability
Windows disk images generated by Microsoft Configuration Manager may be missing updates or have restrictions on the applications that can be installed. They also contain traces of the Configuration Manager Agent and its prerequisites.

Every WIM file you receive comes with documentation detailing its contents. This can be used to compare two versions of an image and identify differences in just a few seconds.
Besides a WIM file, you can also choose to receive a ISO and VHD. You can also decide if you want an automatically upload of the files to your azure storage.
A high level of automation ensures that your image is always produced in the same way. Our Webhook notifications give you unlimited possibilities for your own automation once your files are generated.
